Application:
- Cleanse the skin.
- Apply your recommended toner first.
- Apply an even layer of Masque Visolastine + to the face, neck, and décolleté; avoid the sensitive area under the eye.
- Allow the mask to act for 15 to 20 minutes, then remove it with cool water.
Skin Science: In the epidermis, natural skin hydration occurs at several levels: - In the skin barrier, the corneocytes are often fused to each other by a lipid junction system (intercellular cement) which constitutes a protective wall responsible for defending the body. It is reinforced by the presence an invisible film on the skin’s surface that consists of a mixture of water and lipids called the hydrolipidic film. - In the horny layer, water binds to Natural Moisturizing Factors (NMF) which act as sponges by retaining water in the corneocytes. Therefore, the skin’s hydration level results from the balance between water intake, capture, retention and evaporation.
